The Background

Move Online are an online retailer that sells dancing attire. They recently purchased premises in Airport City to move their warehousing and distribution processes. The new premises had no lighting installed but large amounts of natural light from the new skylights. They contacted Perfect Sense Energy to help design a lighting scheme fit for use.

The Solution

Perfect Sense Energy surveyed the new unit whilst it was still empty and had discussions with the client regarding proposed layouts, designated working areas and required light levels. We were able to use our design knowledge to create a bespoke lighting scheme fitting including capacity for daylight dimming and emergency lighting.

The Results & Feedback

Despite a few redesigns to suit the client’s changing layout, Perfect Sense Energy were able to supply and install a bespoke lighting scheme that perfectly illuminated the required areas, utilised auto daylight dimming to ensure lights were only turned on when necessary and provided compliant emergency lighting. The dimming function helps to maintain a lower energy usage and the 5-year warrantied lights provide excellent quality light when required. The units have an expected lifetime of 50,000+ hours, meaning Move Online will benefit from their LED lighting installation for years to come with no maintenance required.
