Selling commercial solar and energy-saving technologies doesn’t give us immunity – just like our customers, we’re determined to lead the way and answer the difficult questions that need to be asked about our social values, our supply chain, and our product life-cycles.

Solar Panel Supply Chain
The 2021 Sheffield Hallam University Report on Uyghur Forced Labour and Global Solar Supply Chains changed how we do business. We couldn’t ignore the report’s findings – instead, we reconfigured our supply chains overnight. We now only source from ethical solar panel manufacturers that aren’t implicated in forced labour practices.
Despite the increased cost of ethically manufactured solar panels (approximately 5-10% more per panel), we refuse to compromise on our corporate social responsibility and won’t ask our customers to compromise, either.

“My first real encounter with commercial solar was massive – both in terms of the size of the array and the impact it had on me.
Back in 2006, when I was a financial adviser for the Co-Operative Bank, I was lucky enough to have a ‘front-row seat’ at the installation of the vertical solar array on the CIS Building in Manchester. It was incredible to watch the construction of one of the largest solar PV installations in Europe right there from my office… the seeds were sown.
