The Background

Datim are a specialist architectural doorset and hardware manufacturer based in Chesterfield. Their 16,000-square-foot warehouse used significant amounts of energy, so they contacted Perfect Sense Energy to assess the feasibility of a Solar PV System.

The Solution

Perfect Sense Energy assessed the energy usage of Datim, along with the available roof areas at the site. A bespoke 200kWp Solar PV system was designed, maximising the available roof space for peak efficiency. This system will generate free, clean energy to power the site every day.

The Results & Feedback

This Solar PV System is set to generate over 168,000 kWh in the first year for Datim. This amounts to over £27,000 in electricity savings and an ROI of 24%. Over a 25 year period, this system will provide a total income & savings of £1.3 million. Datim will save 45 tonnes of CO2 a year, showing their green credentials to their supply chain and customers.
