The Results & Feedback

The result is a quality PV system that is reducing energy spending as well as mitigating their exposure to future energy cost rises. The System will also have an income and savings of £22,400 per annum for the business.

The intelligent EV Charging system provides renewable power for Crystal Doors fleet, reducing their carbon footprint, saving money on electricity/fuel bills, and helping them to achieve their sustainability targets.

The Background

Crystal Doors are a manufacturer of bespoke vinyl-wrapped doors based in Rochdale. Perfect Sense Energy originally designed and installed a 105 kW solar PV system onto the roof. In Phase 2, Crystal doors wanted an additional 141 Kw of Solar PV installed to maximise generation, save more money and improve their carbon footprint even further.

Crystal Doors are a manufacturing company based in Rochdale. They have a large focus on sustainable practice and we have already worked with them to install a 246 kWp Solar PV system. Their next step towards sustainability was to introduce electric cars into their business fleet.

The Solution

Perfect Sense Energy’s designed and installed an additional 141 kWp Solar PV System onto Crystal Doors’ building. The system is now estimated to generate around 205,935kWh of clean renewable energy for the business to use for free on-site.

To effectively charge the electric vehicles in the Crystal Doors fleet, Perfect Sense Energy was commissioned to install EV Chargers at their site. Their efficient chargers link into their existing solar PV system to ensure the cars are charged as efficiently as possible with a low environmental impact.
