The Background

As a leading UK manufacturer of premium pillows and duvets, Snuggledown is committed to quality, comfort and sustainability. Based in Wigan, the company turned to Perfect Sense Energy to support its environmental goals and reduce rising energy costs. By installing a bespoke solar PV system, we’ve helped Snuggledown take a significant step toward reducing its carbon footprint, while generating long-term financial savings. This project showcases how smart energy solutions can support both business efficiency and environmental responsibility.

The Solution

We delivered a bespoke 580.5 kWp rooftop solar PV system designed to maximise on-site generation and lower reliance on the grid. The system is projected to produce 521,922 kWh of clean energy in the first year alone, meeting over 15% of the site’s baseload demand.

The Results & Feedback

The results speak for themselves; in Year 1, Snuggledown is set to save over £161,000 in tax and energy savings, reduce carbon emissions by 108 tonnes, with a projected payback period of 4-5 years. This project highlights how solar can deliver real, measurable value, both financially and environmentally.

Following some roof refurbishment works, PSE installed the PV system without any site disruption and to a very high standard. We operate a very strict H&S regime and the installation teams both on the roof and the electricians followed all protocols. The Project Manager and support team kept us informed every step of the way, so we’d have no hesitation using PSE again for further projects at our wider group sites”.
