The Background

Tetrosyl are the largest manufacturer and supplier of car care products in Europe. A new 4 floor mezzanine was being built at their warehouse in Rochdale, and Perfect Sense Energy designed a bespoke lighting solution to ensure the mezzanine was energy efficient whilst providing the necessary levels of light.

The Solution

PSE designed a lighting scheme using state-of-the-art LED luminaires. The new lighting was installed with PIR sensors to detect movement and ensure the lights are only on and using power when needed. The LED battens are extremely energy efficient and require no maintenance as each luminaire has an expected lifespan of 50,000+ hours of use.

The Results & Feedback

The new LED lighting comes with a 5-year warranty and meets recommended lux-level guidelines. The lux levels achieved have a high uniformity meaning even light and reduced shadows. The shelving and conveyor have excellent visibility reducing the chance of errors and ensuring good health and safety practices. Tetrosyl have continued to use Perfect Sense Energy for further works including emergency lighting and electrical work and are pleased with the lighting system.
